Strategic Framework

Big Lake School District has completed the Strategic Framework development process that seeks to leverage a history of teaching, learning, accomplishment and community life into a shared framework for aligning actions of the adults and students to develop a preferred future. The Strategic framework has detailed components of Mission, Beliefs, Vision, Strategic Directions, and structures for Accountability/ Success, governance, administration and consultation.

The team has completed the following mission and belief statements for our district. These statements have been approved by the school board.

Mission Statement:
Big Lake Schools is the flagship district where each student is a competent and successful learner.
Our schools are at the center of a community where relationships and family matter. The success of each individual affects all of us.

Beliefs Statement:
• All students can experience success, and they will know they are valued
• Family involvement is essential to student success
• High achievement by all people results from high expectations
• Collaboration between community and school inspires high achievement
• In a safe environment, individuality is respected
• Embracing change is essential
